What is an important letter in OSRs? ›

An important letter is given to the player by a messenger, who appears to players shortly after completing Desert Treasure I. Upon reading the letter, players will start The Frozen Door miniquest. After reading the letter, the letter cannot be reobtained once destroyed.

You have to walk around the village and say 'Important letter' to the guards in order. The order is REVERSE alphabetical. A good way to find the next guard is to keep saying 'What's your name?' (Or by right clicking them).

I don't think there's a definition as such but I would say it's a letter addressed to you personally about some significant matter, as opposed to an item of “junk mail” which may be personalised to your name and address but which is in effect a “circular” from a charity, a retailer, a political party, etc.

Skill mastery is achieved by reaching level 99 in a skill. 13,034,431 experience points are needed in a skill to reach level 99. Once players reach level 99 in a skill, special fireworks will appear in place of the regular set of fireworks usually seen when levelling up.
