Family destroyed as two lovers are 'caught together' in Coronation Street (2025)

Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) met a new man recently on Coronation Street and it wasn’t long before sparks were flying between him and Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).

There’s definitely chemistry between the two characters, but it was also clear from the outset that Theo was keeping secrets and at the very least isn’t as comfortable with his sexuality as Todd is. While he obviously felt a strong attraction to Todd, there was something that was holding The back.

The fact is, Theo is married to a woman called Danielle and has two teenage children with her.

Todd was obviously hurt when he discovered this was the reason why Theo wouldn’t make a commitment to him and tried to end the relationship, but the two still keep being drawn together.

In upcoming episodes Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) gets involved in the situation when, to cover his tracks, Theo tells Danielle that Sarah is Todd’s girlfriend.

Sarah is actually about to go on a date with Kit (Jacob Roberts), but when she arrives at the bistro early she’s chatting to Todd when they’re both spotted by Danielle – who invites them to join her and Theo at their table. Todd plays along by kissing Sarah on the lips to wind Theo up.

Kit also ends up being wound up when he walks in at that moment, leaving Sarah with a lot of explaining to do to get her date back on track.

Danielle is a bit confused by Sarah’s behaviour and tells George (Tony Maudsley) that she’s seen Sarah flirting with Kit when she’s supposed to be with Todd. George is amused and tells her that Todd is gay and is in no way interested in Sarah.

This leaves Danielle drawing conclusions, and she jumps to the wrong one. Seeing Sarah comforting Theo by putting her arm around him, Danielle accuses Sarah of having an affair with her husband.

Danielle is fuming over this and when she sees Sarah in the cafe later she demands to know where Theo is. Sarah has had enough of the whole situation and tells Danielle she should really be speaking to Todd.

Meanwhile, as Danielle is heading to the factory, Theo is venting to Todd, telling him that his family has been destroyed by the lies and deception and he needs to fix it. He tells Todd it’s best if they don’t see each other again.

But as Danielle walks into the factory, what will she see?
